Classes

Beg. Mat Class: This class is appropriate for those discovering Pilates for the first time, as well as those who wish to immerse themselves in the basics of the technique. Beginner Mat Classes provide ample modifications and explain the principles of Pilates.

Mat/Stability Ball: A blend of Pilates Mat and Stability Ball training.

Intermediate Mat: Building upon the foundation of Beginner Mat, Intermediate Mat Class includes an additional 13 exercises. It also provides more advanced cueing, and assumes that you are familiar with the basic order and technique of Beginner Mat.

Advanced Mat: Advanced Pilates Mat Class challenges clients with vocabulary, breath, rhythm and flow. At times class will be super-slow, focusing on precision, and at other times fast-paced, working on flow. Advanced Mat Class is suitable for strong, experienced students and never fails to simultaneously challenge and invigorate. Please note that instructor approval is required for Advanced Mat Class participation.

Mat/Tower Class: The Tower equipment adds variety, interest and a challenge to the Mat Class and expands the programming possibilities with the addition of resistance exercises using leg and arm springs.

Pilates on MainExpress Mat/Tower Class: The flow of the Mat Class allows the participant to accomplish a great deal of work in just a small amount of time. We move quickly through the class, adding Tower work, and you will leave with your muscles feeling refreshed and lengthened.

*Reformer/Mat Class: In an instructor supervised, semi-private setting (no more than 5 students/class), this class emphasizes rhythm and flowing sets of movements. These movements increase strength, flexibility and stamina while also improving alignment, balance, coordination and tone. The result of the workout is a uniformly developed body with strong back and abdominal muscles.

*Boot Camp: This class incorporates all of the above classes in a condensed version. Each participant is required to have some experience on a Reformer prior to joining in order for familiarity with the adjustable straps, springs and carriage system.
